This page explains how users of the Goo Vyral mobile app can request deletion of their account and associated personal data, as required for Google Play Store listings.
HOW TO REQUEST ACCOUNT DELETION
OPTION 1 — IN THE APP (FASTEST)
- Install and open the Goo Vyral app and sign in with the account you want to delete.
- Travellers: go to Profile tab → scroll to Delete account → tap Delete my account.
- Travel agencies: go to Profile tab → scroll to Delete account → tap Delete my account.
- Type your registered email address to confirm, then tap Delete and sign out.
- Your personal data in Goo Vyral systems is masked immediately after confirmation.
OPTION 2 — BY EMAIL
- Send an email to goovyral@gmail.com from the email address linked to your Goo Vyral account.
- Subject line: Account deletion request — Goo Vyral
- Include: your full name, whether you are a traveller or travel agency, and confirmation that you want your account and associated data deleted.
- We will process verified requests within 30 days and reply by email.
WHAT DATA IS DELETED OR MASKED
When you delete your account through the app or a verified email request, Goo Vyral masks or removes personal data including:
- Profile details (name shown in app, phone number, address, notification tokens)
- Saved payment method references stored in Goo Vyral
- Wishlists and saved packages
- Chat display names and review text linked to your account
- Traveller details inside booking records (names, phone, address in booking forms)
- Agency business profile (company name, GSTIN/license, office address, website, logo, intro video, verification documents)
- Agency bank and payout details stored in Goo Vyral
- Agency packages are archived and no longer shown to travellers
WHAT DATA IS KEPT
- Your email address is retained in a secure masked-account record so Goo Vyral support can verify your identity and restore your account if you contact us later.
- A private technical snapshot of your previous data may be kept solely for fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, and account recovery at your request. This snapshot is not used for marketing.
- Booking, payment, and payout transaction records may be kept in anonymised or masked form where required for accounting, tax, or legal obligations. These records no longer display your personal contact details to agencies or other users.
RETENTION PERIOD
- In-app deletion masks personal data immediately.
- Email deletion requests are completed within 30 days of verification.
- Retained email and recovery snapshots are kept until you ask us to permanently erase them (where law allows) or until no longer needed for legal or accounting purposes, typically up to 7 years for financial records.
CLERK SIGN-IN
- Deleting data in Goo Vyral does not automatically delete your Clerk sign-in credentials. To remove your login provider access entirely, you may also delete your account through your Google or email provider settings, or contact goovyral@gmail.com for assistance.
CHILDREN
- Goo Vyral is not intended for users under 18. Parents who believe a child has created an account may email goovyral@gmail.com to request deletion.
