This page explains how users of the Goo Vyral app can request deletion of their personal data. Use this page for Google Play Store “Delete data URL” requirements.
HOW TO REQUEST THAT YOUR DATA BE DELETED
STEP 1 — DELETE ALL DATA IN THE APP (RECOMMENDED)
- Open the Goo Vyral app and sign in.
- Travellers: Profile tab → Delete account → confirm your email → Delete and sign out.
- Agencies: Profile tab → Delete account → confirm your email → Delete and sign out.
- This masks your personal data in Goo Vyral immediately.
STEP 2 — REQUEST DATA DELETION BY EMAIL
- Email goovyral@gmail.com from the address linked to your Goo Vyral account.
- Subject: Data deletion request — Goo Vyral
- State whether you are a traveller or travel agency.
- Say if you want all personal data deleted or only specific data (for example profile, messages, or agency documents).
- We verify your identity and complete verified requests within 30 days.
STEP 3 — CONFIRMATION
- We reply by email when your data has been deleted or masked.
- If you need help, include your registered email and any booking reference.
TYPES OF DATA THAT ARE DELETED
When you request data deletion, Goo Vyral removes or masks personal data such as:
- Name, phone number, and address stored in your Goo Vyral profile
- Profile photos, agency logos, and intro videos uploaded to Goo Vyral
- Agency business details (company name, GSTIN/license, office address, website, maps link)
- Verification documents and bank/payout details stored in Goo Vyral
- Push notification tokens and saved payment method references
- Wishlists and saved packages
- Chat display names and review text linked to your account
- Traveller contact details inside booking records (masked in booking forms)
- Agency packages are archived and hidden from travellers
TYPES OF DATA THAT MAY BE KEPT
- Your email address may be kept in a secure record so Goo Vyral can confirm your request and support account recovery if you contact us later.
- A private technical snapshot may be kept for fraud prevention, legal compliance, disputes, and recovery at your request. It is not used for marketing.
- Booking, payment, and payout records may be kept in anonymised or masked form where required by law, tax, or accounting rules. Personal contact details are removed from what agencies and other users can see.
RETENTION PERIOD
- In-app deletion masks personal data immediately after you confirm.
- Email data-deletion requests are processed within 30 days of identity verification.
- Email addresses kept for recovery are stored until you ask us to erase them (where law allows) or until no longer needed.
- Financial and transaction records may be retained up to 7 years where required by applicable law.
